Got a call from a client about their shower/tub draining slow. Our technician went out and ran an auger down the drain to try and clear the stoppage. The drain was cleared.

We recommend this for everyone of our customers, but we also recommend it to those who have had root problems or have large trees in front of your house. Mainline replacement

We had a late night call for a mainline backup. This was caused by roots infesting the line. For this certian customer, they did not have a cleanout available to clear the line, so the toilet was pulled to try and clear the line. The line was cleared, but will likely stop up again beacause of the roots. For anyone that does not have a cleanout installed, it does make it more difficult to have things cleared. With houses that have large trees in front of their homes, there comes problems. Specifically with your drains. When there is a large tree in front of your house you are prone to getting backups more often then those who do not have large trees in front of their homes. The roots from the tree get into your drains and cause back ups. It is recommend for those of you who do have large trees in front of your home to have your drains cleared every 6 months to ensure that you do not continue to have backed up drains. The picture above is of a water pressure gage. you can purchase this at any hardware store for around $10. The number at which the arrow is pointing is NOT what you want your water pressure to be. This is very dangerous and can cause big problems for you if your water pressure is this high. Invest in one of these or call and make an appointment with us and we can check it for you and walk through your options if indeed your pressure is too high.
